BOB HOPE
29 May 1903 -- 27 July 2003
Bob Hope – one of America’s most treasured citizens – is gone. He left a legacy of laughter in the face of danger, bringing joy and the Spirit of America to our weary troops through his legendary USO Shows. Hope and his “Band of Gypsies” performed for our GIs in every theatre of operations from World War II through Desert Storm.
He was a true American Hero.
In loving memory of this great patriot in whose honor our “Bob Hope Hollywood USO” is named and on behalf of the millions of GI’s to whom he literally brought “Hope,” we offer a proud and heartfelt Salute to our dear and legendary friend.
“Thanks for the Memory” Bob. We shall never forget you and what you did for us all.
